Often times, the most difficult process for prospective new vapers is finding the first starter kit that best suits their needs while also being effective enough to make the switch. The vaping industry has endless amounts of options for newcomers and there are new products coming to market every day. Starter kits come in all shapes and size serving a wide range of functionality, from the basic starter kits to sun ohm starter kits and now even mechanical mod starter kits (highly not recommended for beginners, advanced vapers only).
Many people have found themselves overwhelmed when trying to find a device to help them drop conventional cigarettes. Because of this, people will get scared away from vaping and continue to smoke because of the overflow of information available.
In hoping that this article reaches even one person looking to potentially make the shift from cigarettes to vaping, we are going to take a look at three devices that are stylish, effective and affordable. While there are many options available, these three will fit any basic needs for a beginner while providing the effectiveness required to remain committed to quitting cigarettes all the while looking stylish. The three devices being discussed are the Eleaf Icare 2, Suorin Drop and Malle S Lite.
First up is the Malle S Lite. This ultra-portable little device is the closest to the act of smoking as a new vaper can possibly get but comes with one drawback. The effectiveness is not going to be as great as the next two devices. Those already involved in the vaping world refer to the devices like the Maille S Lite as a “cigalike” simply because it resembles a cigarette in size, design, and function. It can be used to puff on just the same as a cigarette. The production of vapor on this device is low, resulting in the need of a much higher nicotine concentration in the eliquid so that the nicotine delivery is enough to keep the user from craving.
Cigalikes were basically the beginning of starter kits for e-cigarettes. They have come a long way since those early days. The Malle S Lite has a removable liquid tank which can be refilled with whichever liquids that the user desires. The Malle also comes included with a pre-installed 1.5 ohm kanthal coil. This means not only can the user select their liquids, they can also purchase replacement coils for the device when they are required. With such a compact device, the internal 180mAh battery is sufficient enough to keep a new vaper on the go. In the event that they should run low on battery the Malle S Lite comes complete with two units. They can be charged together inside of the charging case. The Maille S Lite covers all the bases for someone looking to kick the habit to the curb and get started on the path to a healthier lifestyle.
Next up in the lineup is the Suorin Drop starter kit. The Drop is a pod-style starter kit,a concept much newer compared to the Malle S Lite. Pod starter systems have become popular not only with new vapers but experienced vapers. They have embraced them as a sound choice for portability and effectiveness. Just like the Malle, the Drop is ultra compact but will be more effective in staying committed to the process. One notable difference between the Drop and the Malle is that the Drop has a replaceable 2ml cartridge instead of a replaceable coil head. The coil head in the Drop is built into the cartridge. The cost to keep the Drop will be slightly more but its effectiveness is a worthwhile trade.
The internal battery in the drop is rated for 300mAh, depending on how heavily the consumer users the device. Charging the Drop at intervals through the day may be required. With a small battery, the charge time should be fairly quick. The design of the Drop is quite nice. Shaped like a drop of water, it fits into the hand quite nicely and is light as a feather. Operation of the Drop is as simple as depressing the button that is positioned in the center of the device. Owners of the Drop will find it very simple to use.
Last but certainly not least is the Eleaf Icare 2. Just over a year ago Eleaf released the very first Icare. At the time is was the most compact and most effective starter kit that could be had. Eleaf saw great success with the Icare across the board, being embraced by both new vapers and seasoned vapers. While it’s compact form factor has moved over from the original, the Icare 2 has some new upgrades. The device now has a “smooth to touch” rubber finish, giving a bit of extra grip and slip prevention while feeling comfortable in the hand.
Similar to the Malle, the Icare has removable 1.3ohm coil heads which can be replaced while the cartridge remains intact. Eliquid capacity on the Icare 2 is 2ml,enough for any user to get through the day. Battery capacity on the Icare 2 is 650mAh. It’s a step up from the Drop and more than adequate for daily use. The Eleaf ICare 2 also charges via the included USB cable, fully charging fairly quickly.
The Eleaf Icare 2 is feather light and only slightly larger than the size of the average lighter. So this is going to fit into any pockets nice and comfortable. Overall the ICare 2 was an expected release due to the huge success of it’s predecessor. Out of the three devices covered, the Eleaf iCare 2 Kit would be most effective.
